Plum pie

Delicious and melt- in- your- mouth substitute for apple pie.


 preparation time 20mins/ baking time 30mins

Ingredients

250g all-purpose flour

3/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

150g butter

1 egg

2 large spoons of fresh cream

For filling:

1 teaspoon cinnamon 

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon lemon juice

10 -15 plums

1 teaspoon of butter 

50g sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 170 degrees C

Place pitted and sliced plums with teaspoon of butter into the pot. start to cook slowly while adding sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. cook about 10minutes then set aside.

In the large bowl combine flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon mix together well and then add egg and butter and 2 large spoons of  fresh cream.

make a crumbles of it and divide into 2 parts. one set aside.

Place one part of crumbles into pie pan. bake it for 5 min then take it out of the oven and put the plums on it and cover the plums with the rest of the crumble and put it back in the oven for 25mins.

set aside for 10 min after baking.

Serve still hot with ice cream or cold .Enjoy!
